SESI is a private provider of specialized education services for children and youth facing learning, language, and social challenges. SESI offers a variety of day school programs that are customized for students with disabilities and at-risk youth. These day schools go by the names: High Road School, High Road Student Learning Centers, High Road Academy and Sierra Schools.

High Road School of Perryville

High Road School of Perryville is a Type I educational program serving the educational and behavioral needs of students in a therapeutic and structured environment. The program is designed to focus on personalized academic and behavioral goals so students may return to a less restrictive setting as quickly as possible. The goals of the program are as follows:

  • To provide each student with the academic and social skills necessary to be successful in school
  • To prepare students to return to a less restrictive setting
  • To prepare students for Maryland State testing programs
  • To provide students with consistent and structured environment designed to prevent regression and produce both academic and behavioral gains
  • To provide students with an array of cultural and recreational experiences

Flag Football Champions

On October 28, 2008 the High Road Cougars completed another flag football season, the way any student athlete wants to end the season, as Champions.

Sierra School Nautical Adventure

Sierra School of Sonoma County recently sent students on a nautical adventure! Sierra School students enjoyed sailing on the San Francisco Bay for their motivational Fun Friday trip on November 7th, 2008. Sierra School hooked up with a company called, Pegasus Voyages.

Students attend Connecticut Construction Career Day

On October 7, the High Road Student Learning Center and the High Road School of Wallingford’s students had an opportunity of a life time! They were able to attend The Connecticut Construction Career Day Program in Wallingford and gain some hands-on exposure in the commercial construction industry.

Where are they now?

Graduating high school is one of the milestones that mark the end of one important chapter and the beginning of another- the start of one’s adult life. Beginning at an early age, every child wonders about life after high school. Each year, students of High Road Academy fulfill their dreams of graduation, and then embark on a new journey to accomplish their goals.
