Sierra School at Eastern – Lower, celebrated its 3rd Annual Math Day on January 15, 2010! Students enjoyed participating in twenty-four different math activities and/or games. Sierra students have never had so much fun learning! Although all the activities were a hit, some of the favorites included:

When Harrisen Tilery was in public school he had difficulty with math and reading and was struggling very hard to keep up with his peers. He found he had to work twice as hard as the other students because he had such a difficult time grasping information and it was causing him a great deal of stress.

Rozco Barraza-Gutierrez is a student at Sierra School at Edison and he is also an Aztec Dancer. Rozco began dancing when he was 8 years old. He is now almost 12 years old and has been performing with the same troupe for all these years. Rozco’s group performs anywhere from 3 – 4 times each month for many types of occasion.
