Special education is my lifetime passion; therefore, I find great reward in providing leadership to those who share my vision for creating excellent educational opportunities for students with special needs.
My involvement in the world of special education began on October 1, 1985, when I was hired at Sierra School as the administrative assistant. Even after twenty-two years in the field, I still feel that same excitement from my job as I did on that very first day. It is both an honor and a privilege to share such a rich history with Sierra School, which has grown from one, small program to five incredible schools located throughout the state.
My role in special education, though constant, has varied throughout the years. I’ve worked as a regional director, a program director, an administrative assistant, a teaching assistant, and a program development specialist. As I pursue my Master of Science in Educational Administration degree from National University, my passion for this tremendous field will keep me working diligently to provide the highest-quality educational services to our most amazing and deserving students.
