My name is Lindsay Green, and I am the new Director of Sierra School (El Camino) I grew up in Sacramento, Ca. and attended Valley High School for 4 years where I excelled in basketball and academics. After graduation, I attended Texas Southern University. I completed a semester there and decided I was homesick and transferred to Sacramento City College where I played basketball and completed my academics. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my 10-year-old poodle Lee and my new Kitten Osiris. I also enjoy helping motivate and mentor my 5 nephews.
After graduating from Sacramento City College with an Associates of Arts degree, I then transferred to Menlo College where I completed my studies with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mass Communications/ Media Technologies. After graduation I decided that I wanted to work with children, so I decided to work in a group home before finding Sierra School. I began working at Sierra School in 2004 as an Instructional Assistant, then I became a Teacher, and now I’m the new Director. I enjoy helping children develop their own model of success.
The student’s at Sierra (El Camino) refer to me as Ms. Green, and they know my door is always open. I look forward to a successful school year, and with the wonderful staff, and students, we will aim for the stars.
Thanks,
Ms. Green
